Provow Leads Tennessee Amateur

NASHVILLE— Spencer Provow shot a 6-under-par 66 at Belle Meade Country Club on Tuesday and took a two-shot lead over Tim Jackson, Wes Roach and Bobby Hudson in the Tennessee Amateur.

Defending champion Thomas Smith, the former Tennessee-Chattanooga golfer, is tied for sixth after a 70.

Seventy-one was a popular score among Chattanooga area players. Nick Blakely, Chuck Jabaley, Richard Keene and Josh Coley all shot 71 and were tied for 12th.
