Gilliland Shares Senior Section Lead

OLD HICKORY, Tenn.—Council Fire's Director of Golf, Hunt Gilliland, and the coach of David Lipscomb University, Buddy Harston, both posted rounds of 2-under-par 69s to share lead after the first round of the Senior Section Championship being hosted by Old Hickory Country Club.

Will Brewer, General Manager of the Vanderbilt Legends Club. posted a 1 under par round of 70 to share third place with Bluegrass Yacht & Country Country's Eddie Hayes. 

Five others are tied for 5 place at even par, 71 including tMark Houser of Warriors Path Golf Course (Kingsport). 

The top 4 players from the Qualifier field will advance onto National Senior Professional Championship which will be conducted later this year at Port St. Lucie Florida.   The Tennessee Section is proud to host this Championship for its Senior's.  In all 27 players are competing in the event.
